Silicon carbide membrane is a high-precision microfiltration and ultrafiltration grade membrane separation product made of high-purity silicon carbide fine powder through recrystallization and sintering technology. It has the characteristics of high flux, corrosion resistance, easy cleaning,  and long life. The current maximum filtration accuracy can reach 20 nanometers.

Product features

The silicon carbide membrane is fired by the recrystallization process, and the sintering temperature is 2400ºC. During the sintering process, the sintering neck between the silicon carbide aggregates is a phase change process from solid to gaseous to solid. The porosity is as high as 45% or more, and the formed filtration channel has strong connectivity. In addition, the natural hydrophilicity of silicon carbide materials (contact angle is only 0.3°), the pure water flux is as high as 3200LMH, and it is hydrophilic and oleophobic.
 

 

The isoelectric point of the silicon carbide membrane is near pH3, and the membrane surface can maintain the negative charge in a wide pH range, which improves the pollution resistance of the membrane surface.

Excellent chemical stability, can work in extreme environments (pH 1~14); can formulate a rich cleaning plan according to the characteristics of the pollution factors; fully resistant to oxidants, including ozone and hydroxyl radicals.
 

(1) Multi-channel tubular structure design: The fluid separation process adopts the form of "cross-flow filtration". The raw material liquid flows at high speed in the membrane tube. Under the pressure drive, the clarified permeate containing small molecular components passes through the membrane in a direction perpendicular to it, and the turbid concentrated liquid containing large molecular components is intercepted by the membrane so that the fluid can achieve the purpose of separation, concentration, and purification. The liquid flow direction is tangent to the membrane surface, and the temporary covering of the membrane surface will be carried away by the fluid. The biggest advantage of the membrane equipment using cross-flow separation technology is that the membrane is not easily fouled and blocked, and the equipment can operate stably for a long time.
 

(2)  Asymmetric structure design: Improve the backwashing process effect. The high-frequency backwashing process in the process design can flush away the pollutants on the membrane surface, restore its filtration function, ensure the long-term stable operation of the equipment, and extend the membrane cleaning cycle.
